Coalfield community mourns loss of Keith Henry

The Coalfield community is in mourning today as Coalfield High School head football Keith Henry passed away earlier today.
Henry coached at Coalfield for 13 seasons, compiling an overall record of 115-49 during that span. The Jackets made the playoffs in each of Henry’s 13 seasons, winning the region four times while advancing to the TSSAA Class 1A State Championship Game in 2014.
This past season, Coalfield tied a school record with 12 wins while advancing to the TSSAA Class 1A semifinals.
As successful as Henry was on the field, he meant even more to the Coalfield community off the field and that’s where he will be missed most.
We will have more on this story as it becomes available.
