Morgan County’s newest fast food restaurant could be open faster than expected as Taco Bell General Manager Woody Smith says construction at the Wartburg location is ahead of schedule.
The Wartburg location was expected to open in early September, but could now open in late August if all goes according to plan.
In gearing up for its opening, Taco Bell will also help the local job scene as Smith indicated more than two dozen people could be hired in coming weeks with training to take place in Jamestown or Knoxville in preparation for the Wartburg opening.
“We want to hire about 30 team members,” Smith said. “That way we can have a good base to start with because our store will be open from 7 a.m. until midnight, and staffing will go from 6 a.m. until 1 a.m. We need a good range of people who can work different hours.”
Taco Bell will holding open interviews Thursday, July 16 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Morgan County Visitors Center located at 3804 Morgan County Highway in Wartburg.
Applications can also be made online at www.charterfoodscareers.com and clicking the Wartburg location.
