Mrs. Golda Jean Tilson Grant, age 71, passed away Saturday July 17, 2010 at her home in Rockwood, TN.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Willard and Mabel (Hamby) Tilson, Sisters; Emma Lee Melton and Ruby Bingham.

 

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years; Minuard E. Grant, Daughters; Sandy Lowery, Kay Wagoner, Teresa and Sam Jensen, Son; Dale and Julie Grant.

Grandchildren; Samuel Jensen Jr., Timothy Jensen, Derek Jones, Roger Grant Jr., Leanndra Wright, Tiffany Grant, Sonya Lowery, Dawn Hudgins.

Great-grandchildren; Braylea and Areyonna Wright, Destany, Dana and Drew Jones, Tyler Mathis, Kayla and Kythian Smith.

Brother; Merley and Linda Tilson, Sisters; Barbara and Tommy Grant, Judy and J.R. Collins, Josephine and Don Arwood, Willa Dean and Charles Henderson, Anita and Alan Hale, Violet and Dan Nance, Linda and Donald Thompson, Paula Wiseman, Pam and Jerry Lyke.

 

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening July 20, 2010 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg.

Funeral services will follow with Bro. Chuck Wilburn officiating.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. in Rankin Church Cemetery, Oakdale, TN Schubert Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.


Mrs. Jean Sheldon Hood, age 75 of the Coal Hill Community, passed away at her home on Monday, July 5, 2010. Jean was retired from Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. She was a member of Coal Hill Baptist Church.


She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years; Curtis Hood,

Daughter; Cynthia Bingamon, grandson; Steven Brown,

parents; Joe & Willie Sheldon, 9 brothers and 1 sister.


She is survived by children;

Curtis R. (Randy) and wife Mary Ann, of Lancing

Richard and wife Debbi of Coal Hill, Pamela Harmon of Coal Hill and

Michelle and husband James Christofalos of Lindenhurst, IL.

Son-in-law; Ben Bingamon of Coal Hill

Sister; Mary Maynard of Rockwood.

12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren


The family will receive friends Thursday July 8, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.

at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral service will follow at 8:00 P.M. with Rev.. Bill Treadway officiating.

Graveside service will be Friday at 11:00 in the Coal Hill Cemetery, Harriman.

Mrs. Thelma  M.  Brown, age 77 of Deer Lodge, went to be with the Lord early Sunday morning June 20, 2010, after a long illness.

She married James R. Brown they resided in Deer Lodge where they enjoyed their many grand and great grandchildren.  Thelma enjoyed cooking, she was known for her culinary delights and her love of the 4th of July .  She was preceded in death by brothers; Charles and Frank Kennedy and daughter Paula E. Boucher. 

 

Mrs. Brown is survived by husband;  James Brown

Children; Steve and wife Cindy Langley of Deer Lodge, Mark and wife Tonya Spears of Little Rock, AR, Mona and husband Rob Rollins of Little Rock, AR,

Step-daughter; Aleina Kempkers of Deer Lodge.

 

Brothers and sisters; Rose and husband Clifford Howard of Lancing, Wanell and husband John Smarsh of Wartburg, George and wife Doris Kennedy of Deer Lodge, Danny and wife Linda Kennedy of Deer Lodge, Caroline Human of Clarkrange.

 

The family will receive friends Monday June 21, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Schubert Funeral Home, Sunbright.  Funeral service will follow at 8:00 P.M. with

Bro. Pat McGee officiating.

Graveside service will be Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. in the Union Grove Cemetery.
