November, 2013 – Rockwood, Tennessee………. Experience the magic of Christmas at the Tour of Homes in the picturesque town of Rockwood, nestled at the foot of Mount Roosevelt. This year’s event will showcase historic homes along with holiday music, a scavenger hunt, holiday fare and shopping for unique gifts.
One of the homes featured this year is the century-old Jack Tarwater House (pictured). Tim and Angie Couch, the current owners say, “The house was built in 1910 and is a two-story frame Dutch Colonial Revival house with a stone foundation, weatherboard siding and a gambrel roof. It was designed by George Barber, architect. Craftsman influence is seen in the stone porch and chimney.” Step back in time as you enjoy the spirit of this house.
