Breast Cancer Awareness month was last observed in October, but women and even men in some cases are at risk all year long. That’s why a Pink Out basketball game has been scheduled for tonight, when Wartburg hosts Sunbright, according to former teacher and cancer survivor Betty Redmon.

And finally, sometimes being a thief stinks. An unnamed 62-year-old woman was walking her dog in Santa Cruz, California, when a mugger suddenly confronted her: he told her to give him “everything she had,” or he’d kick her dog. She handed over a bag and the robber fled. His total take: one pile of dog waste, which she had picked up earlier in the walk.
